Did you know that AAYA is an official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award?
Every year we present this special award to our volunteers who accomplish a truly impressive number of service hours through AAYA. Applications for the 2024 calendar year are now OPEN and must be submitted by January 31st 2025.

How to Qualify
Must be United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States, at least five years old, and have completed eligible service from January 1st 2024 to December 31st, 2024.
Must have volunteered with AAYA in the 2024 calendar year. Please record your hours. Make sure you make a copy of the 'template' sheet and rename the sheet with your own name.
Volunteered outside of AAYA? Our goal is to instill a love of volunteering, which is why we count hours completed outside of AAYA activities. Awardees must complete at least 70% of their award hours through AAYA. The chart below shows how many AAYA volunteering hours you need to serve for each award.
To count outside volunteering hours, awardees will need to provide proof of hours on either letterhead or an official document from each organization that they volunteered with.
